This week on tips - Erasing unwanted objects from pictures, the 21 days fallacy to form a habit and removing source formatting using G. Chrome
Hello dear reader,
Welcome to a new week, it is the start of the week, and I am here to share new tips and tricks from the World Wide Web.
Yes, I am aware it is not Monday. And I do apologise for that, but let’s get back on track. With this mindset of following through with my weekly commitment, I want to leave you a message as the first tip of this week:
Habit formation - the 21 days is a lie
The reason I share this it´s because often people say that when you miss one day of at the gym or one day of running, diet - anything that requires habit development. They say you failed, but as a trained behavioural scientist, I must tell you that IT IS NOT TRUE. A study analyses habit formation in the real world, and they reported that some participants only provided days as little as 47 days out of 84 days, and many of them still developed the habits.
So please don’t feel guilty about missing one day of your goal; as long as you make it back to your routine, you will be fine.
Yes, Word, I don’t want to keep the source formatting
Have you found yourself trying to copy a piece of text from a website, and it brings the original formatting? For me, it’s annoying that I have to take the time to fix it. I bring you a solution, at least one of the possible solutions.
Copy the text from the website, and then paste it into the URL field/space of Google Chrome, and it will remove any formatting to that text.
You have to CTRL+A, CTRL+C, and then CTRL+V - Tadaaammm! You have the text available to use anywhere without the original formatting.
I leave you a guide here: https://scribehow.com/shared/Remove_source_formatting__vLKfpgSLT0eXQ7CagG28Gw
PS: I used Scribe to do that mini-guide. I shared this tool a couple of weeks ago.
An unwanted object ruined the only picture where I looked good
Often, we take a picture, or someone takes a picture of us, and someone is in the background, or an object is just messing up with the excellent background and our handsome faces. Well, let’s try something that I have recently tested.
Cleanup is an online tool where you can upload your picture and highlight the objects you want to remove, and it will try its best to conserve the original state of the photograph and take that annoying object from the picture. It is also good if you work in marketing or have a small business where you want to show a product on your Instagram account. Here I leave you an example:
This is it for now. Please share it with your friends, coworkers, family, classmates - anyone that might find these weekly tips useful.
Have a good week,
Fernando
